Who We Are
Unga Limited is more than a miller, we’re part of East Africa’s story. With a rich legacy dating back to 1908, we’ve grown into one of the region’s largest food producers. By the 1970s, we were already the top grain miller in East Africa. Today, our portfolio includes wheat flours, maize meals, porridges, rice, pulses, spaghetti and more. All crafted to nourish, fuel, and sustain.
Our Standards
We strive to achieve world-class standards in the quality and safety of our brands. That is why we are proud to be ISO 22000:2018 certified. We ensure that controls are in place, from the sourcing of raw materials and packaging materials to the the manufacturing processes and distribution of our products. Our central laboratory is also FSSC 22000 Version 6 accredited, demonstrating our competence in carrying out tests and/or calibrations, including sampling. This covers testing and calibration performed using standard methods, non-standard methods, and laboratory-developed methods.
